Dr. Patricia Wight

There is more than one path to a cure.
Dr. Patricia Wight’s research helps us better understand cells that repair myelin.

Patricia Wight, PhD, is a Professor of Physiology and Biophysics College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She received her PhD in biochemistrsy from the University of California at Riverside. She then did postdoctoral training in developmental neurobiology at the University of California in Los Angeles. Dr. Wight is currently the Director of the Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology Core of the Neuroscience Research Center Core Facility. She has served as a peer reviewer for several journals and serves on multiple grant review committees including committees for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She has received a number of awards and grants in the MS field and contributes to MS education in the community.
