Meet Our Encourager Director: Shara McMurtrey

Have a group? Encourage and help your organization earn some $$!
Groups 12 or larger will be entered into a drawing for 3, $200 prizes.
For our second largest group (minimum 20 with no more than 5 under 18 years old) will receive $400 for their group.
Our largest group (minimum 20 adults) will receive $500!
Group members do not need to encourager together. They just need to add their group name under comments on the sign up sheet.

We need 300 encouragers (aka, volunteers) to help host the Trifest for MS! Encouragers are needed to help with welcome and registration; set-up/tear down; kids race support; traffic control; water stations; food tents; parking; body markers; packet pick-up; awards; silent auction and more.
Helpful skills: A heart for encouragement and hands willing to help!
Time commitment: You tell us! Opportunities are available in a variety of time slots.
Trifest for MS Volunteer Committee
Whoever said it takes a village must have run a foundation and put on an event or two! The Trifest for MS planning committee is looking for a few more members to serve in chair positions or as committee members. Contact Ruth Sawkins, race director, if interested.
Volunteer Need: 2-4 volunteers.
Helpful skills: A can-do attitude that approaches problems with possibility and enjoys working with others.
Time commitment: 1 meeting/month and on-site support race weekend as needed (based on role)
3 Digital Contributors
Anyone can share the power of encouragement. Like us on Facebook. Follow us on Twitter. Commit to sharing our efforts online with friends and family. We also welcome guest posts to our blog.
Volunteer Need: 3-5 volunteers.
Helpful skills: Calling all creatives! Writers, Editors, Photographers and Video Producers. Time commitment: You tell us! From penning a blog article, to shooting a promo video, if you have the interest, we have the need.
4 Year-Round Opportunities
Support community outreach, help brainstorm new ideas, provide ongoing input and help share the power of encouragement online. Opportunities that arise include cheering on athletes during the Bentonville Half Marathon, visiting with organizations, students, and community members providing education on MS and bringing people together to support athletes of all abilities, especially youth paratriathletes and kids with special needs.
Volunteer Need: 40-100
